At EZ Dog we offer training for all sizes and any age of dogs, from a puppy all the way to teaching a old dog new tricks!
Individual training or one on one.
Our methods are to focus on creating a pawsitive relationship between you and your dog to improve your dog’s behavior and obedience. At EZ Dog our expertise is understanding how a dog naturally thinks, learns and communicates and then using this to show you how to be your dog’s leader. Once this relationship is established, behavior change is a natural next step. Our trainers work with any breed, any age, any issue. You and your dog get one-on-one attention, as well as an individualized plan to suit your family and guaranteed support for the life of your dog.
We also offer a monthly, full-time dog training program where we work with your dog Monday to Friday. Your dog will attend our daycare and work on socialization and keeping best behaviour around other pups. Dogs will learn how to play properly with others as well as go on group walks. You will also get an individual training day once a week to see the progress between you and your dog.
Keeping the pawsitivity is a key role we practice at EZ Dog that shows in our training as well. Our philosophy is teaching the owners as well as the dogs themselves. It starts with learning core essentials. Proper communication and understanding is a true empowerment and equals a happy, balanced relationship between dog and owner! Let’s us help with all your training needs today!
Private sessions are a great way for owners to strengthen their relationship with their dogs as we guide, educate and coach you through the training process.
The first session is jam packed with information that provides owners a deeper insight into dog behavior, what the owners are experiencing, what behaviors they are seeing and looking to work on, teach or fix, overview of the fundamentals and to offer constructive and helpful advice. Additionally you will cover our marker system, leash communication and what to start focusing on and practicing until the next session.
All of the in person sessions will be hands on at the training center and starting out with teaching clear communication which we can start to build upon and take a unique path for each dog we work with .once the fundamentals are in place. We like to space the sessions out 2+ weeks apart so that owners have time to really work on what was covered and we are able to make progress in each session
Our 4 week program is geared more toward dogs who have what we call “knucklehead” behavior, but not severe behavioral issues. We will cover all of the fundamentals; markers, obedience, commands, leash walking ad relationship building to get your dog to a better place to jump start the relationship process with the you. This program is great for puppies starting at 5 months+ and dogs that are not overcoming severe behaviors.
Our six week program is our most popular option because this length of time allows us to build a relationship with the dogs and be consistent as we work through their behavioral problems without pushing them too soon before they are ready for the challenge. This program also includes off leash reliability and introducing the mini educator e collar (when applicable).
This program is what we would suggest for everyone, but we all know that leaving your dog for 8 weeks can be hard. The more time we have to really hone in on a dog’s training the better habits they will form. Eight weeks is for all dogs from puppies to older dogs and with any behavioral issue.
The refresher board and train program helps dogs get back into the tip top training shape they were in during the initial board and train. We all understand that in life obstacles are thrown at us and it is easy to get side tracked. Sometimes when this happens, training takes a back seat. Since the foundation work is already in place from the first board and train, a refresher course will help you and your dog get right back on track!
